1. Who we are

Propertyss is a trading name of pyrolondon limited, a company registered in England and Wales, which operates www.propertyss.co.uk and is the data controller for personal data collected through the site. Contact: privacy@propertyss.co.uk.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle processes payment, billing and tax data and handles billing enquiries and returns.

2. What we collect

• Account data, name, email, phone, password credentials, account type (buyer, seller, landlord, trade, supplier, adviser).
• Listing data, addresses, prices, photographs, descriptions, business details, FCA reference numbers where relevant.
• Transaction data, subscription and advertising purchases. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
• Usage data, pages viewed, searches, saved listings, device and browser type, IP address, approximate location.
• Communications, enquiries, reviews, support messages and AI chat conversations.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

• To run your account and publish your listings, performance of a contract.
• To take payments and manage subscriptions, contract and legal obligation.
• To pass your enquiry to the relevant agent, landlord, tradesperson, supplier or adviser, contract and legitimate interests.
• To improve search, personalise results, prevent fraud and secure the platform, legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails and non-essential cookies, your consent.
• To comply with tax, anti-fraud and other legal duties, legal obligation.

4. Sharing your data

When you submit an enquiry we share your contact details with the third-party provider you contacted; from that point they are an independent controller and their own privacy policy applies. We also use trusted processors for hosting, database and authentication, email delivery, payment processing, mapping and street imagery, advertising delivery, and AI providers that power search and chat. AI providers process your prompts to return a response and are contractually barred from using them to train their models. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Cookies and advertising

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure the site, and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. Third-party advertising (including Google AdSense) may use cookies or device identifiers to measure and personalise adverts. You can withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings or our cookie controls.

6. International transfers

Some processors operate outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

Account and listing data is kept while your account is active and for up to 24 months afterwards. Transaction records are kept for six years to meet tax law. Enquiry and chat logs are kept for up to 12 months. Marketing consents are kept until withdrawn.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests or withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@propertyss.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored with access controls and row-level security so users can only reach their own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and never send bank details through unverified channels.

10. Children

The site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will post updates on this page with a revised date, and tell you directly if the change materially affects you.
